Owl Prowl - Burr Oak

6:00 - 8:00 pm. Come Join Rural Actions Sunday Creek Watershed Group and ODNR State Park naturalist for a wintry Thursday night Owl Prowl. We will meet at Burr Oak Lodge for a short presentation and then will have the opportunity interact with live owls. Next, we will head outside for a hike to call Barred Owls. Please dress for the weather, bring a flashlight or headlamp if you desire, and remember it is important to be quiet so we do not scare the owls away. This event is family friendly. Dwight Icenhower

7:00 pm show. We welcome back nationally recognized, Elvis Tribute Artist, Dwight Icenhower to Stuarts Opera House. Dwight Icenhower was raised in Pomeroy, Ohio and began his Elvis career by singing karaoke at a local fair when he was just 16 years old. Now, he is one of the very few Elvis Tribute Artists that have made a full-time career out of keeping the legend alive. Dwight performs 4-5 shows weekly and he keeps the audiences asking for more. Born four years after the King passed away, Dwight has studied every move that Elvis made and has mastered the 50s, 60s, and 70s eras of Elvis career. Ken Williamson Remembering Vietnam

He photographed the land, people and events then and continued photographing its citizens and sites when he returned years after the war. He has compiled his observations into a book which intertwines his personal life and reactions with the historical events of the time that have shaped Vietnam and the United States. The Low Anthem

Parade of the Hills in Nelsonville

10am-11pm Wed/Thu, 11am-12am Fri, 9am-12am Sat. Home of the Ohio State Fiddling Contest. Held annually in August in Nelsonville in the historic Public Square - The Parade of The Hills has become one of the states premiere family festivals. You will be treated to great family entertainment, regional art and home cooking, concessions, midway, carnival, Pie Contest Auction, 5 K run, Kids Street Games, Kids Athletic Day, Parades, The Ohio State Fiddling Contest, and free nightly entertainment. We feature three parades beginning at 6PM; Wednesdays Welcome Home Parade, Thursdays Bicycle Parade and Saturdays Grand Parade.
